The Swap - No need for a bookmark for this one!!!

Title: The Swap
Author: Robyn Harding
Release Date: June 23, 2020

WHOA this book was a fantastic read, unique, clever and quite daring. Robyn Harding always delivers and she never holds back, in fact she has a uniquely creative mind and I would LOVE to get inside her head as she is writing to get an inside glimpse of her amazing writing thought process.
The characters were so fully developed It made me feel like I was watching a movie instead of reading a book. I really connected with each of the characters, and they have stuck with me days after finishing the book.
There should be some sort of warning label on this book because I COULD NOT put this one down, I literally read it in one sitting.
Fun fact, I received a little bit of shade over the title from friends, "I see you are reading The Swap." yes... you all know who you are." - If you haven't picked up The Swap you really should, I HIGHLY recommend this one, there is no shame in this one, it's an incredibly delirious read, with all these flawed characters who you want to hate but cannot help but love, from the obsessions to the scandalous dinner date, this one is packed full of the best kind of punches.

Low Morrison in not your Average teen. You could blame her hippie parents or her looming height or her dreary hometown on the island in the Pacific Northwest.
But whatever the reason, Low just doesn't fit in- and neither does Freya, a beautiful, once-famous social media influencer who now owns the local pottery studio,
After signing up for a class, low quickly falls under Freya's spell. And Freya, buoyed by Low's adoration, is compelled to share her darkest secrets, Finally, both feel a sense of belonging... that is, until Jamie walks through the studio door.
Desperate for a baby, she and her husband have moved to the island hoping that the environment will result in pregnancy. Freya and Jamie become fast friends, as do their husbands, leaving Low alone once again.
Then one night, after a boozy dinner party, Freya suggests swapping partners. it should have been a harmless fling, one night of debauchery that they would put behind them, but instead, it upends their lives. And provides Low with the perfect opportunity to unleash her growing resentment,

I don't generally attach 5 stars to a Novel however this was such a fun ride and I am giving this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5's.

The Wife Stalker

Title: The Wife Stalker
Author: Liv Constantine
Publication Date: May 19, 2020

I love the Duo Liv Constantine and I absolutely loved the The Last Mrs. Parrish so I was incredibly eager to get my hands on The Wife Stalker.
I feel that when a highly anticipated book is released it can set the book up for failure. (at least for me)
I found the story a little boring, and quite unbelievable. The entire relationship between Piper, Leo and Leo's outrageous behavior, not to mention how Joanna was portrayed throughout...
I finished the book in a day however it wasn't one of those reads that suck you in and grab a hold of you.
I kept reading to see how it would play out.
I reached the end and uh oh an enormous plot twist, my reaction was "wait what?" I had to go back and re-read the last chapter to make sure I wasn't missing something.
I applaud the Duo for their attempt in trying something different, I just don't think it was executed properly. I don't feel like the pieces fit, but truly I'd have to read the book again to see if the pieces of the puzzle came together properly. (will save that for another day)

I give this ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Hunting Annabelle

Title: Hunting Annabelle
Author: Wendy Heard
Publication Date: December 18, 2018

I want to thank the Author and MIRA for the free copy of Hunting Annabelle in exchange for my honest review.

Synopsis: Sean Suh is done with killing. After serving three years in a psychiatric prison, he’s determined to stay away from temptation. But he can’t resist Annabelle—beautiful, confident, incandescent Annabelle—who alone can see past the monster to the man inside. The man he’s desperately trying to be.

WHOA! This is a totally dark, twisted and CREEPY debut psychological thriller! Yep you heard me right... debut Novel!
After serving time in a psychiatric hospital for murder, both Sean and his mother relocate to Texas for a fresh start. This is where Sean meets the beautiful & fiery Annabelle- shortly thereafter Sean witnesses Annabelle being kidnapped.
What takes place next is Sean's relentless pursuit in finding Annabelle while simultaneously being investigated as the prime suspect in the disappearance of Annabelle. (The story is told by one POV; the narrator being Sean which makes for an easy read)
I never thought it would be possible to be rooting for a protagonist who is dark, complicated and psychologically unstable not to mention a KILLER, however I totally did the entire way through!!!
As we follow Sean's pursuit of Annabelle through out the book it started to get a little slow, however the ending came together nicely with a lot of fun twists.
All in all I enjoyed Hunting Annabelle, I think some readers will really LOVE it.

Rating:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5

I am excited to start this book review blog, I have always been passionate about books and writing since I was very young. Lately I have had a lot of people asking me for book recommendations, It makes me really excited when someone trusts me enough to think of me when deciding on what to read. AND when they get back to me and say "your recommendation did not let down" well um- this is like better than eating ice cream, and if you know me well you know this is pretty huge!

I enjoy giving recommendations because I know when you pick up a book there is no better feeling than when you have selected "that book" which will pull you in making it nearly IMPOSSIBLE for you to put it down, and when you reach the last page it leaves you wanting more! This is the kind of book in which I will ALWAYS want to share with my friends and others, because this is exactly what I want for myself.
With that said, I will enjoy reviewing all books and developing my own personal style.

I love suspense, I love getting sucked into the thrill of them, it's like a roller coaster with all the ups, downs, twists & turns- AND I love roller coasters! However it's fun to switch it up from time to time. I love dystopian, I mean who doesn't, right? I enjoy all genre's AND I must admit, you can occasionally find me reading a good YA. (ok a little more than the "occasional" YA)

I have two indulgences-
First, I love reading a book when it is being brought to life in a film, I love film adaptions and I love critiquing them to a VERY SMALL AUDIENCE which is myself.
Secondly I LOVE reading debut Novels, there is nothing like supporting new and upcoming Authors. I hang on to every single word and absorb myself in their writing style, flow & editing and everything in between- it gives me hope that maybe one day I myself will have a debut novel. (it's secretly on my bucket list, so don't tell anyone)

I really hope that you will join me on my Journey, and support me...

My first upcoming review is a debut Novel (of course) Hunting Annabelle by Wendy Heard which is being released on December 18, 2018.  You can find Wendy on both Twitter and Instagram.
Most bloggers will tell you not to request an ARC (advanced reader copy) until you have a good following base, so I personally want to thank Wendy for making this possible. I am literally putting this book in a case, it'll be on my desk as a daily reminder that anything is possible if you try hard enough and knock on enough doors!!! (EVEN if you have to accept a thousand no's before receiving your yes)

I have a lot of books to review, so Authors keep your eye out for them, and readers I hope you enjoy!
